Jean-Jacques Jura
Jehan d’Elleby is the fictive author of this historical novel, written by Jean-Jacques Jura who received his Ph.D. in French literature from the University of California at Irvine. Dr. Jura taught interdisciplinary courses over twenty years at junior colleges and universities, including French language, culture, and literature, as well as English composition, comparative literature, and art history classes. Presently, Dr. Jura is a retired Associate Professor Emeritus, having published articles on French literature, along with the book, Balboa Films, reprinted in 2007, on the silent movie studios of Long Beach, California, along with a translation in English of the medieval French romance, Aucassin & Nicolette, first published by Edwin Mellen Press in 2007 and then published online by Zeitschrift für romanische Philologie in 2009.
